Day 41 – August 13th – Amherst, NS to
Dalhousie NB
Another partially cloudy day when we woke up today.
Today is the day we part company with our travel partners. Vance and Joan are starting their trip back
to Lanark as we do some family visiting in Dalhousie before starting our
travels back to Ontario. A great couple; looking forward to more adventures
with them.
The trip up through New Brunswick was very enjoyable; for the most part, the roads are in pretty good condition.
One of the prettiest sites was the reflections in the water as we
crossed the Miramichi River. The river
was so calm it was almost impossible to tell which way was up, very nice, it was a perfect mirror reflection.
We arrived at the Inch Arran RV Park in Dalhousie to very windy and
slightly cooler conditions that we have been accustomed to (yes, we have been
spoiled). We picked out a site on the water (Baie des Chaleurs) with coast of the Quebec Gaspe Penninsula
about 3 miles in the distance. Nice spot
especially with the wind crashing the waves on the beach.
Following supper we had a real nice visit with my aunt in Campbellton, which
included a couple of family picture albums.
It was back to the campsite after the visit to listen to the wind and
the crashing waves which helped us to sleep.
