Day 4 – July 7th – Today was just another uneventful travel
day - always nice! Vance and Joan are still in
Edmundston as they were having issues with their truck – no power for climbing
hills and it was intermittent L.
They are planning on leaving tomorrow after the work is completed. They will arrive one day after us in North
Sydney, no impact on the sailing schedule to NL. Here’s hoping everything goes well.
New Brunswick
and Nova Scotia had some serious power problems due to hurricane Arthur. Much of the power along Hwy 2 is out in
NB. There are spots here and there that
do have power; it is very easy to tell where, just look for all the cars and
trucks getting fuel J. Some
areas of New Brunswick are not expected to have power back until Friday!
We managed to
stop at the Covered Bridge Potato Chip Factory in Hartland, NB. There was no power but were still open for
cash sales only, Yea!!
Our current
park is very nice, very neat, grass is manicured and there are a number of
seasonal campers here but their lots are well maintained, obviously they take
great pride in their sites and this park.
The people we
met last night are from the same town as Doug C.’s family and they know of Doug’s
grandfather and maybe others in the family, yes it is a small world.
So until
tomorrow …..
How is the new truck working..............
ReplyDeleteI had truck issues with the same symptoms while we were in Colorado. It was a sensor that needed replacing. Hopefully it is something simple for Vance & Joan and they can be back on the road quickly.
